Larry Neuman, along
with his wife, Carol, were selected by the American Israelite for a profile article in its quarterly
publication in recognition of their 35 years of service to The Jewish Community of Cincinnati.
Frank
Klaine was on the faculty of the Cincinnati Bar
Association Seminar on Local Government Law. His presentation
was entitled Initiative and Referendum. Mr. Klaine is
the City Solicitor for the City of Wyoming and the City
of Loveland.
Jim Heldman was invited by Mayor
Mark Mallory to speak at a seminar on Franchise Opportunities for Women, Minorities, and Veterans. His
presentation was entitled Legal Aspects of Franchising. The seminar was sponsored by the International Franchise
Association, in partnership with the Greater Cincinnati & Northern Kentucky African American Chamber of Commerce
and the Cincinnati-Hamilton County Community Action Agency.
Paul Calico and
Claudia Allen were the featured speakers
at a Cincinnati Better Business Bureau’s Professional Series Seminar, The Employment Law Minefield:
How to Survive in Today’s Litigious Environment. Mr. Calico spoke about legal and practical issues
relating to discrimination and harassment as well as the discipline and termination of problem employees.
Ms. Allen spoke on the topics of employment manuals, FMLA, ADA, and Employment Benefits.
