Strauss & Troy Files Lawsuit Against Sunrise Assisted Living - Family Wants to Assure Safety of Others
CINCINNATI—Strauss & Troy has filed a lawsuit against Sunrise Assisted Living on behalf of the family of Shirley Galvin, the 78-year-old woman whose body was found Jan. 23 in the snow outside the assisted living community where she lived.
Susan Weber, the daughter of the deceased Galvin, stated, "I feel that but for the actions of those at Sunrise that were supposed to be watching and caring for my mother she would be alive and with her family today. What happened to my mother has affected our entire family and I want the facts and circumstances surrounding her untimely death to be addressed. I also want to make sure that the same tragedy doesn't happen to anyone else's loved one."
"We filed this lawsuit on behalf of the family as a result of this tragic incident," said Richard Wayne, one of two Strauss & Troy attorneys representing the family. "The family wants to make sure that procedures are put in place to make sure that this doesn't happen again to someone else."
Attorney Joseph J. Braun is also representing the family.
